They allow to track the production, trade, distribution and consumption of renewable energy.

GUARANTEES OF ORIGINS (GOs)
Valid for 12 months this digital instrument is traded within the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) based on European Energy Certificate System (EECS) rules and is transferrable from one AIB register to another.
US & Canadian Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)
RECs are traded in and between various North American tracking systems such as ERCOT, M-RETS, WREGIS, NEPOOL and NAR.
International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs)
I-RECs are traded within the I-REC registry based in the Netherlands. The I-REC scheme includes several issuing bodies and covers various countries in Latin America, Africa, Middle-East and Asia.
